Garage Rehab is another another creation of Richard Rawlings, the Motor Mogul himself. The Discovery Channel broadcasted it in 2017, despite the fact that he had offered the idea to the network in 2015. Rawlings appears to have a goldmine of business ideas, and he appears to be on the lookout for the next great thing in the business world. This show was Richard’s effort to get his foot in the door of shows likeHotel Hellor and Extreme Home Makeover, among others. In preparation for this show, he has established a team that is on the lookout for failing garages and assists them by offering equipment, financial aid, and business coaching.

The show follows them as they attempt to restore and revitalize insolvent or burned-out garages in order to turn them around.

This Is Real: They Are Financially Assisted

courtesy of Levrack Richard, Chris, and Russell receive calls from struggling garage owners all around the country asking for assistance in turning their businesses around. The stores that are worthy of being featured are chosen by the crew. Rich has first-hand knowledge of the difficulties he had in his early years, and he has worked in a variety of positions. He takes a no-holds-barred attitude to assisting his customers in achieving success, providing counsel, “free” consulting, and even cash assistance to those in need.

As seen in one episode, Richard negotiated a deal with the business for $200,000 in exchange for total control over the metamorphosis that he and his crew were about to unleash on it.

That Is Fake: Cosmetic Changes Are Done Just For The Sake Of The Show

courtesy of Discovery UK In the beginning, the channel’s proprietors were ecstatic since Richard had yet another hit program in his folio and the channel was making money from viewers who were consuming their daily dosage of raunchy stuff. Things began to shift, though, as viewers began to express themselves. Agarage must be presentable and clean if they want to generate money, which is why such a high value is placed on how it appears in practically all of the episodes. It didn’t take long for the public to recognize that these makeovers were restricted to only cosmetic changes.

Rawlings and the channel aired a series of “Revisited” episodes after the show’s makeover to provide viewers with more information about the shop’s destiny when it was embroiled in a storm of controversy and condemnation.

What these occurrences revealed, however, was that the vast majority of stores had reverted to their previous form. As a result, Garage Rehab has earned the reputation of being one of the least trustworthy vehicle shows for a certain percentage of fans.

This Is Real: Equipments Are Provided

courtesy of Discovery Canada It’s amusing how Rich and the rest of the staff refer to all of the current equipment at the garage as “old” and “inoperative.” At the beginning of every episode, the cast and crew make a regular proclamation that the setup is old and uninteresting. They then go on to say that the program will take the place of practically everything in the world. The owners are informed that they would be required to return the debt within two to three years, despite the fact that they are furnished with brand new equipment.

That Is Fake: The Drama

The store owner will nearly always be either melancholy or irritable, depending on the situation. The first season was a little too harsh in this part of the country. The team of hosts was continually at odds with each other regarding who had control or what was going on in the world. It seemed inevitable that they would accept everything and everything would work out at the end of the show.

  1. In light of the critical acclaim, the second season appeared to tone things down, but the series has not yet restored its former glory.
  2. Someone managed to catch footage of a massive collection that includes anything from heavy military trucks to historic automobiles.

What makes the show so great?

In each episode, Richard selects a garage that is in need of their assistance. What matters is whether the establishment is a hot rod shop, a dirty garage loaded with defective equipment, or worse worse. Richard and his crew will assist the store as long as it is involved with automobiles and is in severe need of assistance. It’s vital to remember, however, that all costs are treated as a loan, and the owners are responsible for repaying the debt. Season 2 takes on bigger challenges

This program hasn’t been on the air for a long enough period of time to make any significant modifications. Rick and his staff, on the other hand, are doing everything they can. This season, the mechanics are hard at work on their largest construction project to date, a 20,000 square foot collision repair facility. Also underway is what they believe to be their most important rehabilitation project to date. The goal of this project is to renovate a veteran-run garage that teaches automobile repair skills to servicemen and women who are transitioning out of the military.

Having the opportunity to work on such an important project has left him feeling overwhelmed with gratitude.

The fake controversy

Some of the show’s followers began to protest about the show’s authenticity halfway through season 1, claiming that it was a hoax. According to them, the show was veering away from reality and toward following a pre-determined script. Richard Rawlings said that these allegations were false, but many people did not believe him. There was a common opinion on public forums that the makers of the program were more interested in human connections than they were in the rehabilitation efforts. It’s possible that this is due to the fact that it was cut to fit into a one-hour time slot, but the critics didn’t care.

In other words, his modifications were mostly ornamental in nature and of little practical use to the business owners.

Obviously, there were some failures, but there were also some successes, as may be anticipated. Instead than demonstrating that the program is a hoax, it demonstrates that the difference between failure and success is determined by the individual and the decisions he or she takes on a daily basis.

The Bottom Line

Despite the fact that Garage Rehab has only been on the air for two seasons, it hasn’t experienced any significant changes. The adjustments that have been made, on the other hand, are certain to gratify those who are skeptical of the show’s trustworthiness or the abilities of Richard and his trusted staff.

I’m referring to the garage.

After all, the host is so hyper-masculine that you cringe when the homosexual jokes begin and his “buddies” roll their eyes at him!

You have to wonder who these folks were that convinced them to broadcast this non-informative garbage on television, such as the nonsense about the Curse of Oak Island.

They make fun of mechanics who are far superior to themselves.

The project manager is a joke; after all, when was the last time you heard of a project manager who didn’t know what was going on?

Why is this?

Russ, the project manager, must have turned off his mobile phone because he believes he is a reality television star rather than a manager.

I’m not trying to be cruel, yet the word “dumb” is exactly what I’m referring to.

That was a complete waste of time and just plain stupidity.

Then Rawlings takes the garage owner to a car wash and tells him to ask the attendants to recommend you to their customers when they inquire about having their car repaired.

The other location was just a regular gas station, such as a Cumberland Farms, and no one ever inquired about the availability of a garage at these locations unless they were stranded in front of them.

If you want people to believe that these garages were actually in operation and earning money, you must show them where they are 60 days to a year later.

Their business must be demonstrated to someone who will go over how they are operating their business and determine why they are losing money in order to correct the situation.

Kaeser USA and Garage Rehab transform struggling auto shops

  • Contacts
  • Press
  • Career opportunities, community participation, environmental responsibility, associations
  • And sponsorships are just a few of the options available.
  • Arclight Fabrication, Gas Monkey Garage, Garage Rehab, Graveyard Carz, JEB Four Racing, KC’s Paint Shop, and many more are located in the area.

Kaeser USA partners with Garage Rehab to transform struggling auto shops

Kaeser has been doing it for a long time. Evaluating the requirements of each customer and building the most appropriate solution for the work. Some may believe that this theory only applies to major industrial and manufacturing facilities. This is not correct. However, Kaeser has long believed that automobile service, collision repair, and other aftermarket specialist businesses ought to be given the same respect as the rest of the industry. It is far more likely that downtime will be decreased significantly and that more money will be added to the bottom line when there is a consistent source of clean, dry air.

In addition, we’ve been called in to set up a number of additional installations.

Now, thanks to Discovery Channel, audiences all around the country can watch as Kaeser teams up with the well-known Gas Monkey Richard Rawlings to help revitalize businesses that have seen better days in the past.

Repair shops for automobiles, specialty restorers, and service centers for nearly any sort of vehicle are all candidates for Garage Rehab if they are in need of an update and a new perspective on their business model.

A complete makeover

System Specialist Frank Remsik of Kaeser works alongside Chris Stephens of Garage Rehab. Once a design is chosen, no part of the garage’s operation is disregarded – and this includes the aesthetics as well! With an overall perspective on the business, Richard assists the owners in identifying prospects for success. A smart business sense on the part of the Rehab team can give these struggling enterprises a whole new lease of life when considering the complete operation, including software updates, people allocation, product and service marketing, and product and service promotion.

  1. With Kaeser’s longstanding reputation for delivering a dependable supply of clean, dry compressed air, it is the ideal choice for garages and vehicle repair shops.
  2. Richard and his team are aware that Kaeser provides a wide choice of compressed air systems, and they have worked with the company to ensure that the appropriate system is installed for all Garage Rehab jobs.
  3. “We provide a whole system design that is suited to the specific needs of the client’s organization.
  4. Most of these establishments are tiny and must be efficient with their floor area, therefore they benefit from this technology.” The use of reciprocating or piston compressors is still prevalent in many automobile businesses, which Kaeser believes might benefit from rotary compressors.
  5. Most piston compressors are designed to work at pressures ranging from 145 to 175 psi, while most businesses only require 125 psi or below.

Lowering the operating pressures results in considerable energy savings. Furthermore, because most tools only require 90 psi, it is probable that the tool’s life will be prolonged.

Getting the air where it needs to go

SmartPipe is a brand of compressed air pipework. Making sure that the air gets to where it has to go is also crucial. With its modular, aluminum SmartPipeTM system, Kaeser can assist with the replacement of old iron pipe, upgrading existing piping that is not up to code, or reworking an existing compressed air distribution system as a result of the overhaul. A lot of these older systems are made of PVC, and we have to remove them all since they don’t comply with building codes. The SmartPipe technology, which provides good air quality and little pressure drop, helps us ensure that they remain safe,” adds Remsik.

The staff at Garage Rehab like it since it can be installed fast, which is important because their jobs are often completed within extremely short time frames.

Chris Stephens Talks New Season of Garage Rehab

M C: Of course. Rehab is an expensive endeavor. These individuals are reaching out to you because they understandably find themselves on the verge of financial ruin. Where does the money come from, and how does Richard get compensated for his services? How do you go about putting that component of it together? Chris: Yes. I believe it is because, as you correctly point out, this is the final try. Right? They’re following Richard Rawlings and Gas Monkey because of what they’ve learned from them, just like the rods.

  • It’s possible that the bank will lend you money.
  • Richard is willing to put everything on the line.
  • You’ve got this Gas Monkey following you to assist you along the road, which is nice.
  • Even after we’ve left, Richard and I continue to communicate with the business’s owners and workers in case they want any more advice or choose to make alterations.
  • In exchange for a few of weeks with them, we’d want to feel like a baby or new puppy for them.
  • We provide them with all of these ideas, as well as all of this new equipment, and we completely transform their firm.
  • We understand that we must communicate with them on the phone, through emails and direct messages, as well as on Instagram and other social media platforms.

We’re attempting to assist them in their construction efforts. I believe we’ve done a commendable job in this regard. That’s the kind of thing you don’t see on television.

Garage Rehab TV Show- Richard Rawlings makes yet more money!

Richard Rawlings is the star of the show. *** is the grade I give it. Documentary/reality television is the genre. 16 x 50 minutes is the total running time. PG Certificate of Completion The United States of America is the country. Aside from that, if you watch American television, you are probably aware of the numerous fascinating vehicle programs that are shown. Currently, Richard Rawlings is developing an empire as a result of the popularity of his hotrod rebuild and flip program Fast N’ Loud, which established him as a household brand in America, with his show frequently ranking in the top 100 of the country’s most popular television shows.

  • He is a self-assured alpha masculine person who totally entertains, and his Gas Monkey Garage television shows are a must-see for blue collar people in the United States of America.
  • During the show’s run, we have also enjoyed some spin-off shows, including ‘Garage Rehab,’ ‘Changing Gears,’ and In ‘Changing Gears,’ Rawlings’ former master mechanic and 13-year business partner Aaron Kauffman from Fast N Loud appeared.
  • Garage Rehab, on the other hand, is a Rawlings production that is entering its third season.
  • The conceit is as follows.
  • The concept here is that he invests in struggling garages around the country and sets himself a budget and timetable for turning those companies around utilizing Rawlings’ skills, contacts, and ego.
  • In a way, it’s similar to what Gordon Ramsey has done over the years with restaurants through his show Kitchen Nightmares.
  • Russell is a bear of a man who typically yells at the poor unknowing garage owners and personnel in order to get the work done in absurdly short time frames, while Chris is a more thoughtful craftsman who is more considerate.

So far, I’ve only seen the first season of two, and 16 garages have been renovated as a result.

I’m not sure how much he spends for the air compressors, welders, and other equipment.

It appears to be legitimate transactions to purchase stakes in the firms, and if the businesses fail following the renovations, Richard is presumed to be the only owner.

Six months later, you can find out how they get along on the catch-up episode.

Clearly, the majority of them are failing because their owners are poor business managers.

The kinder side of him was revealed in an episode in which he rehabbed a charity garage that assisted disabled veterans in returning to work, but in general, he is all about the Benjamins (and the beer).

What I appreciate about Rawlings programs is that, despite the fact that they are staged to provide a wonderful television experience, the guys genuinely fix and hotrod the vehicles, resulting in something tangible at the conclusion of the show.

Here, the employer and his employees share a passion for automobiles, and the majority of what they say appears to be true.
