Hello, I’m an army veteran now enrolled in a vocational rehabilitation program. My first counselor was a complete and utter jerk! She didn’t do anything really nefarious. The reason I’m taking online classes is because the school I attend is approximately 30 minutes away from my home; previously, I read online about the importance of being prepared before attending a voc rehab meeting because some of the counselors are bitter; therefore, I went into the meeting with my program of study, transcripts, and plans; the only thing that needed to be done was to print out information and talk with the counselor to get their opinion.

Keep in mind that when I was utilizing my GI bill, I was on the verge of enrolling in voc rehab when a counselor informed me that I could do so instead.

I decided to use up all of my GI Bill, then my post-9/11 GI Bill, and then go to voc rehab, which is exactly what I did (I’m currently pursuing my masters).

Just prior to enrolling in voc rehab, I stopped by the VA representative at the local florida worksource to inquire about finding work while attending college, and informed him of my desire to find work that would allow me to keep up with my school schedule because I might be starting school soon under voc rehab.
