Although she was once arrested for cocaine possession and later sent to rehab when she violated probation by testing positive for the drug, Lohan said she rarely used it since “I don’t like it.” “It reminds me of my dad,” she said.

Lindsay Lohan talks drugs, booze, rehab, sex
- A few days before entering treatment, Lindsay Lohan speaks with Piers Morgan about her drug use. “I’ve never been an addict,” she admits. After 250 days in recovery, Lohan believes that another trip would be “pointless.” However, she believes that being away from her family for three months is “not a negative thing for me.”
If all goes according to plan during Lindsay Lohan’s 90-day stint at the Betty Ford Clinic, this may be the only story you read about her for the next three months. Just a few days before entering court-ordered treatment last week, the actress chatted extensively with Piers Morgan for a piece in the Daily Mail newspaper in London, which will be published in the paper’s Sunday edition this week. According to Morgan, the anchor of CNN’s “Piers Morgan Live,” Lohan has never been a “heavy drinker,” and she has only taken cocaine “four or five times in my life,” in spite of rumors, failed drug tests, and a drug possession arrest.
She’s already spent more than 250 days in recovery, and she believes that another trip would be “pointless,” according to the Daily Mail.
Lohan’s life off the rails Her life and career began to spiral out of control in 2007, when she was twice convicted of drunken driving and once for cocaine usage.
- Her detentions were “absolutely reckless – a dumb error,” she said after the hearing.
- The first time I used narcotics was during that experience.
- It was a complete and utter blunder.” She informed Morgan that she went to rehab for the first time not because she was addicted to drugs or alcohol, but because she needed help dealing with the trauma she had encountered while filming the movie.
- “I was having extremely awful dreams, and the movie had a traumatic effect on me,” Lohan said of the experience.
- However, I would leave every day and only stay at the house at night.
- In a way, it was like having my own personal live-in therapist, since I was having insane dreams and attending AA meetings on set, among other things.
- Lohan stated that she had been drinking for less than a year at the time of the incident.
“It was the first time I had ever experienced that feeling.” “I was too terrified to do it!” She described herself as a responsible adolescent.
“It was also more enjoyable.
Lohan is a rehabilitator with extensive experience.
“I’ve been ordered to do it six times by the court,” she explained.
The first few times I was sent to rehab, I treated it as if it were a joke, something I was doing to pass the time.” Morgan had an interview with her prior to the misunderstanding that erupted about which treatment center she would be attending.
About her rehab visit, she stated, “I see it as a positive thing.” she remarked.
For me, the most beneficial thing they could do would be to send me abroad to various places where I would be able to work with children.” Lindsay Lohan is clean and sober.
The next part, she said, was “a little difficult for me to describe.” ‘I don’t see anything wrong with folks taking time out of their schedules to just be alone themselves.’ I believe it is something that people would like to see me do.
“I don’t believe that spending three months by myself will be detrimental to my well-being.” However, although now admitting to Morgan that she did narcotics a year ago, she previously told Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today” show that she had been “clean and sober” for “a long time” at the time.
“It makes me think of my father,” she remarked.
According to Morgan, cocaine caused her to feel “a touch too buzzed – it made me feel a little uncomfortable.” She categorizes herself as “not an addict.” “It’s the truth, you know.
“All of those things make me feel uncomfortable.” Pot and Ecstasy are her go-to drugs, according to her, who described them as “clearly.” Compared to the others, I preferred that one (Ecstasy).” Morgan provides information.
Lohan is not a drug addict.
The following Twitter tweet was sent out by her in September 2010, right before she entered the Betty Ford Clinic for three months.
“I’m putting in significant effort to conquer it and am taking positive steps.” Lohan explained to Morgan that she has just been misunderstood by the public.
“I’ve never been and will never be an addict,” she stated emphatically.
It’s something I’ve always done.
It wasn’t an issue for her since Heath Ledger encouraged her to give it up for a year because he’d just done so.
Ledger was 28 when he died in January 2008 of a prescription drug overdose, a year after Lohan’s first rehab session.
Lindsay prefers to be with males.
“I have a thing for boys,” she said.
“I’ve had sexual encounters with females in the past, and I’ve been in a relationship with a female.” But I believe that I needed to go through it, and I believe that I was yearning for something different.” During their relationship, she admitted that she was head over heels in love with Samantha Ronson, and that she “still loves her as a person.” In a recent interview, Lohan expressed her preference for being in a relationship with a man.
- “However, there’s something about it that’s simply different with a woman.
- “It was quite poisonous.” ‘Dad causes pandemonium,’ says the daughter.
- “I simply believe there comes a point when you just have to kind of accept the situation as it is,” says the author.
- Throughout my life, he’s been extremely good and then extremely crazy.” Friends from the entertainment industry While she holds the Los Angeles lifestyle responsible for her detour, she acknowledges the assistance of two Hollywood ladies who have been instrumental in her recovery.
“She basically gave me some pointers on how to improve my acting and what I should do differently, and she told me I should go back to live with my mother for a bit.” She was unable to return to New York because her probation obligations, which included frequent drug testing, required her to remain in California, which she described as “the worst conceivable place I could be.” “Jamie Lee Curtis was also really gracious to me,” she said.
In addition, she advised me to pay attention to sound counsel and to get rid of the naysayers.
Before Lindsay Lohan is expected to be released from treatment in early August, will there be another article regarding her substance misuse and legal difficulties in the mainstream media?
In December 2010, Lohan was accused of assaulting a member of the Ford staff during her most recent stay at the hotel.
Only a few weeks after being released from the facility, she found herself in the middle of another controversy when she was accused of stealing a necklace from a jewelry store. It was her conviction for stealing that set her on the path to her present treatment facility.
Lindsay Lohan and Rehab: A Look at Their Long-Term Relationship

She was discharged after 23 days when it was established that her mental health issues had been misdiagnosed and were not as severe as originally believed.

“Undoubtedly, this is a setback for me, but I am accepting responsibility for my actions and am willing to face the consequences,” she stated.

She was involved in an incident with a female member of the Betty Ford staff in December 2010, but no charges were made as a result of the inquiry conducted by the police.
When she was charged with theft after stealing a necklace, she served a sentence of home arrest and was sentenced to a number of short-term jail terms after breaking her probation on several occasions.
With the most of her legal issues behind her, it appeared as though Lohan would be able to return to concentrating on her work.
After being engaged in a vehicle accident in June 2012, she sustained just minor injuries.
Despite having checked into the Betty Ford Center as early as May 3, she was transferred to a separate facility in June: Cliffside Malibu, where she remained until her discharge on Tuesday.
Cliffside Malibu CEO Richard Taite suggested on Wednesday that she attend three treatment sessions each week for the next 15 months in order to avoid relapsing into addiction.
Besides undergoing therapy, Lohan is working on many projects, including an interview with Oprah Winfrey, a docu-series for Winfrey’s OWN network, and a hosting role on Chelsea Lately, which will air on August 5. She also has a new picture, The Canyons, which will be released on Friday.

She was arrested and taken to jail when a Los Angeles court revoked her probation; she was eventually freed on bail later that day.
The fact that she successfully finished treatment does not mean that everything was smooth sailing.
Throughout the course of 2011, Lohan found herself in a number of further legal snags.
However, following her conviction for theft, Lohan remained on informal probation until March 2012, despite the completion of her statutory probation.
When she was first diagnosed with cancer, her publicist Steve Honig stated, “She is eager to begin the next chapter in her life by returning to work and doing what she loves to do—making movies.” Point 6 of the Rehabilitation Process The difficulty for Lohan did not last long, though.
The collision resulted in her being charged with two misdemeanors in March 2013.

After her probation was overturned by a Los Angeles court, Lohan was arrested and sent to jail, but she was eventually freed on bond.

Throughout the year 2011, Lohan found herself in a number of more legal situations.
Although Lohan’s formal probation expired in March 2012, she was nonetheless subjected to informal probation following her shoplifting conviction.
In 2013, her publicist, Steve Honig, stated, “She is eager to start the next chapter in her life and get back to work and doing what she loves to do—making movies.” Stint6 in Rehabilitation However, Lohan could not manage to remain out of trouble for long.

Despite her release, Lohan is still facing charges.
According to him, “our whole clinical team is unified in their belief that if these sessions are not mandated by the court and attendance is not confirmed once a month to ensure accountability, it is a recipe for almost certain failure.” The suggestion was accepted by the court in charge of Lohan’s case, who ordered Lohan to engage in the sessions until November 2014.

Why You Rarely Hear About Lindsay Lohan Anymore
Photograph by Aaron Davidson for Getty Images A large number of performers become well-known in their early years, then star in a slew of television series and films before fading into relative oblivion. Many times, this is due to circumstances that are completely unrelated to skill, work ethic, or any of the other criteria on which a casting director would base a judgment. For example, In Hollywood, one minute the audience adores you, and the next, they despise you — it’s a never-ending cycle.
- Initially praised for her relatability and charm, as seen in Disney films such as The Parent Trap(1998) and Freaky Friday(2003), Lohan went on to receive critical recognition for her performance in the razor-sharp adolescent comedyMean Girls(2005) (2004).
- While she looked to be on the fast road to cinematic fame at one time, a series of issues in her personal life finally transformed Lohan into a hazardous commodity on the black market for drugs and alcohol.
- However, after Lohan’s “fall” in the late ’00s, the mainstream discourse has shifted a little bit in her favor.
- Because of this, the general public is no longer certain that such treatment was fair or responsible.
Well-documented drug and alcohol problems
Toby Canham is a Getty Images contributor. Lindsay Lohan has had some serious issues with alcohol and drugs throughout the course of her life, as previously reported. There’s no reason to be judgemental about it, either: Every addict is a friend of someone, a family member of someone, and, above all, a fellow human being. But the fact remains that, according to CNN, Lohan had gone to court-ordered treatment six times by the time of the interview. Furthermore, the overall number of occurrences between Lohan and intoxicants is just too many to count.
However, the fact that she used to have a wonderful time did not lead her to lose her shine.
For another point, Lohan’s turbulent personal life gradually eclipsed her professional achievements, despite her best efforts.
Among today’s media-consuming public, she’s best known for two films: Mean Girls and The Parent Trap, and that’s pretty much the extent of her fame.
Ironic self-deprecation might be amusing at times, but when it’s the last trick a performer has left in his or her sleeve, it can be melancholy.
Lohan’s run-ins with the law
courtesy of Pool/Getty Images Lindsay Lohan’s legal difficulties are mostly due to her substance misuse problems, which are well documented. Her criminal record is far too extensive to describe here in full, but in general, Lohan managed to pack the years 2007 to 2013 with DUI arrests, brief jail terms, probation violations, and one accusation of cocaine trafficking in one fell swoop. As a result, she has had to go through a slew of red tape and shell out a substantial sum of money to resolve the situation.
In addition to stealing from parties, she has been accused of taking from a diverse group of acquaintances, a jewelry store or two, the wardrobe departments of her own films, and from her ex-boyfriend Egor Tarabasov.
Celebrity media stopped obsessing over young women with active party lives
Photograph by Alexander Tamargo for Getty Images Typically, when we question, “Why don’t we hear as much about renowned actor xyz any longer?,” what we are really asking is, “Why don’t they feature in movies or television series as much as they used to?” For Lindsay Lohan, though, we are also asking, “Why isn’t she still acting, appearing on television, or being featured in newspapers and magazines on a regular basis?” To some extent, this is due to the fact that Lohan is currently based in Dubai, where she is much less available to the American media.
The fact that throughout the mid-2000s, celeb-centric media developed a fascination with renowned young ladies who were passionate participants in recreational nightlife activities coincides with the fact that One of the most notable members of this group was Kim Kardashian, who transformed her brief period of undoubtedly undeserved recognition into a media and fashion empire that has endured to the present day.
However, as the Kardashian brand grew in popularity, the media’s preoccupation with Hilton, Richie, and Lohan had mostly run its course by the year 2010.
But, maybe, after Lohan narrowly escaped criminal charges and Hilton was sentenced to prison in 2007, we as a society learned that paying attention to this mayhem was only adding figurative gasoline to the fire.
There’s at least a little bit of a sexist double standard happening here
Photograph by David M. Benett/Getty Images We’re not implying that Lindsay Lohan isn’t accountable for her own actions, nor are we implying that an alternate universe version of Lohan who never used drugs would’ve had a more successful career in the entertainment industry. However, consider the following: It was at one time in his life when Robert Downey Jr. was getting intoxicated at a level beyond anything that Lindsay Lohan could imagine during on her most miserable benders. and Hollywood decided to give him another opportunity.
Rather than being considered a liability or a character weakness, it appears that frequent drinking and drug use among males is regarded as more of an indicator of creative brilliance when we examine people such as Hunter S.
But, of course, no one has ever considered Lindsay Lohan’s drinking and drug addiction to be a clue that she is a hidden artistic prodigy who is restricted by the confines of a square society.
So, while we can’t totally blame Lohan’s acting career’s failures on institutional misogyny, there’s little doubt that a shot or two of 100 proof sexism is mixed in with the rest of the drink.
I Know Who Killed Me was a dud
Although intended to mark Lindsay Lohan’s dramatic leap into edgy, mature roles, I Know Who Killed Me(2007) was panned by reviewers and mostly disregarded by audiences when it was released in 2007. As previously reported by The Guardian, the production had to work around Lohan’s court-ordered treatment stays, as well as a number of other Lohan-related problems. As a result of the large number of paparazzi there, some of them hide in the background of photos that were eventually used in the completed film.
But is it really fair to dismissI Know Who Killed Meas as a low-budget David Lynch production and put it to the side?
The baggage dropped off at set, according to critic Charles Bramesco, “used only to enhance and enrich the subtext of a stealth noir treasure, one that hints to a long-gone period of cinematic fame via the framework of a poorer and dirtier form of serial killer thriller.” When it comes to movies, I Know Who Killed Me is now accessible for free on Crackle if that is something that interests you.
The Canyons proved to be another flop
This 2013 New York Times Magazine story, “Here is What Happens When You Cast Lindsay Lohan in Your Movie,” is far more memorable than the film it is based on, The Canyons, which is based on the novel by Stephen Rodrick (2013). The Canyons, a microbudget film created by director Paul Schrader and writer Bret Easton Ellis, was received with critical skepticism and did not get widespread distribution. The fact that it is an erotic thriller with a severe nasty streak isn’t particularly shocking, given the fact that it isn’t exactly mainstream entertainment.
In addition, according to Schrader, the fact that Lohan couldn’t be bothered to promote the picture undoubtedly didn’t help to get it in front of as many people’s eyes as it could have.
As a result, The Canyonsis unlikely to ever become a sarcastic cult classic in the vein of Lohan’s other “serious” cinematic flop, I Know Who Killed Me, which was released in 2005.
Given the benefit of hindsight, it appears plausible to speculate that Schrader and Ellis should have known better.
Lohan still acts and sings more than you might realize
Lindsay Lohan’s acting career reached a pinnacle with the filmMean Girls, without a doubt. Since her role as Cady Heron, however, she has become increasingly disengaged from the entertainment industry, to the point that it has ceased to be her primary career. In other words, if you wanted to make the argument that she’s more than a bit washed up as an actor, you could do so in a convincing manner. However, this does not imply that she has fully retired from acting — or from working in other capacities.
Aside from that, she appeared with Rupert Grint and Nick Frost in the second season of Sick Note in 2018, and she is tied to a Mickey Rourke movie titledCursed.
In terms of Lohan’s music career, it may come as a surprise to find that she has discreetly begun releasing new songs with the goal of having it out by 2020.
It remains to be seen if Lohan will be able to return to the platinum-selling heights of her earlier career, but we must agree that the line “you’re like Xanax to me” is not something that would have been in any of her teen pop songs from back in the day.
She owns nightclubs in Greece. we think?
The course of Lindsay Lohan’s career has remained uncertain, even in this day and age, when drugs and alcohol have presumably been eliminated from the scene. In fact, it turns out that she’s perfectly capable of becoming engaged in all kinds of crazy activities besides singing and acting and getting annihilated after dark, as she discovered. When she appeared as a judge on the Australian edition of The Masked Singer in 2019, she didn’t survive very long. Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, her MTV reality series, barely lasted one season before the featured Mykonos resort — which was one of Lohan’s own business endeavors — was forced to close its doors due to financial difficulties.
Furthermore, she received many million dollars from the sale of the Mykonos property.
When it comes to nightclub entrepreneurship, Lohan has had some success, but when it comes to humanitarian assistance, she has had a far more uneven bag of results.
Perhaps, when it comes to dealing with the Syrian refugee situation, Lohan would be better served by helping international organizations that are staffed by competent experts, rather than pestering a family she arbitrarily plucked off the street in an attempt to seem like a hero on Instagram.
Lohan has a jewelry influencer thing going now
The image is courtesy of Gareth Cattermole/MTV 2018/Getty Images. For many years, if you were a celebrity looking to supplement your income with a high-profile advertising assignment, you had to cross your fingers and hope that a prominent firm would reach out to you about appearing in one of their television or print advertisements. Things are a little different now than they were in the past. Brands will engage celebrities to promote their products on social media, which is likely to save them a significant amount of money on marketing expenses.
Notably, many of the bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and other pieces in the collection are inspired by ancient and mystical designs and patterns.
Trying to assess Lohan’s true degree of involvement or interest in this enterprise is difficult to do.
Although she has strongly promoted the line on social media, Lohan does not appear to be actively involved in the marketing process as a whole.
Lohan is apparently really into bitcoin now
Yuriko Nakao is a photographer for Getty Images. For the same reason as many of you, we’ve had Bitcoin and the notion of cryptocurrency explained to us on several occasions, and we still have no understanding what they are or how they function. But, well, at the very least, we now know what it is: it is something Lindsay Lohan is interested in. According to Benzinga, Lohan tweeted “Bitcoin to the moon” in February 2020, then a few days later, she posted “Bitcoin to Mars” in March 2020. Due to the fact that Mars is a considerably greater distance away than the Moon, you can know she is quite serious about bitcoin.
As part of her Cameo campaign, Lohan also predicted a bright future for cryptocurrency.
